Just to give you an idea of the kind of shop where I took most of the photos in my submissions this week. Osaka is a very large city, and it has many alleyways that run through the middle of city blocks. Each alleyway is lined with shops like this one. Some alleyways specialize in certain kind of products. The one I was in specialized in kitchen, cooking and restaurant wares.

digital capture,converted to B/W via photokit filter setups, slight color washed back in.color then enhanced using the NikEfx pallette.lighting modified using CS2(filter>render>flashlight) then edited to wash out all but the face effect (history pallette)sepia wash(platinum via photokit) then Nik again, using color stylizer to add eye color,lip and cheek toning.film grain applied(iso 800)finally, this damn vignette effect I have to get out of my system.there are probably another two dozen tweaks,D&B,color adjustments, etc. Insane? probably.But it's what I do.

Karla Zelaya is trying to be an actress...She is short but she can act...Be as sweet as a 15 year old girl to a 30 years old fame fatal.
This is the image I did in Black studio conditions.
This image will be used to represent the lady, O hope it helps her.
There is a good hour and a half of Photoshop retouching in here to make her skin as perfect as possible...:-)

First in Flight Cat Show Catalog, commissioned for their 2004 show. Flower macro by Roger Welsh, used with permission. Maybe it's a little "over the top" but I loved the outrageousness and the bright colors of it!

Best Cat in Show gets their image on the next catalog cover. I've done three covers for this club now.
